Willie Nelson released a new album earlier this year titled Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin featuring George and Ira Gershwin music, including two duets: “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” with Cyndi Lauper, and “Embraceable You,” with Sheryl Crow.
Willie told the UK’s Telegraph newspaper, “The Gershwin songs have been here for many, many years. When I was just a small guy, I remember hearing all these great Gershwin songs and they’ll be around forever because great music like that just does not go away.”
Another song he has done is “They All Laughed,” which was written for the 1937 film Shall We Dance. Willie has also released a new video for that tune and you can check it out here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/what-to-listen-to/willie-nelson-they-all-laughed-video-exclusive/.
You can pick up the CD on Willie’s web site and most other music retail outlets.
