Terri’s “Memory Bank” Moment

Loved this post and photo from Terri Hendrix!

“My father and I had our ‘Memory Bank’ moment at IHOP this morning. As we mopped the last of our breakfast up with toast, about 27 World War II veterans showed up. Some leaning heavily on their canes, others maneuvering their wheelchairs. One by one they slowly made their way to their table. My father and I watched in awe. We both choked back tears. We got our check, and on our way out, my father stood at the head of their table and said, ‘As a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam war, I thank you for your service. 101st Airborne United States Army.’ He then proceeded to shake every man’s hand. Here’s what honor looks like. #veteransday#honor”
