So I’ve been noticing that singer/songwriter Josh Grider has been kinda quiet these last couple of weeks and now I know why!
He posted an updated and I definitely wanted to share his news: Just wanted to post a little note about what’s going on in my world. You might have noticed that I haven’t been playing much this month. It’s true, September has been pretty slow on the gig front, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been hard at work. I’ve been given the opportunity to write some music for an independent film and I’ve taken September to bury myself in that. It has been an awesome experience. I’ll have more to share later, but I can tell you this. The movie is set in my hometown of Las Cruces, NM in 1982, they asked me to write country songs, and it looks like there will be soundtrack. All of these things excite me a great deal.
There are some cool shows coming up this fall as I head back out on the road. We have a full band run out to NM (10/9-10), some acoustic shows with my esteemed colleague Drew Kennedy, a #brokedown CD release show at Live Oak Music Hall (10/24), and before we know it the Texas Red’s Red River Songwriters’ Festival crew will be headed out on our annual Texas tour in preparation for the January festival (11/4-8).
Way cool news, Josh!
